Applying Multiple Discount Codes
Customers may only have one manual discount code added to a cart as discount codes cannot be stacked.
Applying Multiple Automatic Discounts
Automatic discounts may only be stacked if the discounts do not compete for the same eligible items.
Example (Items in different product categories): An automatic student discount for clothing and an automatic military discount for memberships.
Example (Items in the same product category): An automatic student discount specified to apply for Zen Shorts and another automatic employee discount specified for the Triblend Hoodie.
Applying an Automatic Discount & a Manual Discount Code
An automatic discount and a discount code may be stacked if the items in the cart are eligible for each of the discounts (for example, an automatic student discount for clothing and a manual discount code for credit packages OR an automatic first-timer discount for a single credit and a July 4th discount code for a 5-pack of credits).
If an attempt is made to stack discounts on the same item, the manual discount code will always override any automatic discount the customer may already be receiving, no matter which is for the greater discount.
The discount code that is manually entered will always take priority.
If you mistakenly add a discount code to a cart that is for a smaller discount than they were originally receiving with an automatic discount, simply remove the discount from the cart by clicking the X next to the discount. The original automatic discount will now be re-applied.
