If your studio is closed for a holiday or other reason but you don’t want to leave the schedule blank, you can add a placeholder class that prevents bookings.

Steps to Set Up Studio Closure

    1. Name it something like "Holiday Closure"

    2. Make sure it’s not associated with any Credit Package or Membership Contract

    1. Set the class for the day your studio will be closed

    1. Match your studio’s normal opening and closing hours

  1. Use the Optional Custom Name field to label the class as a "Studio Closure Day" or something similar.

  2. Apply the Class Tag

    1. Add the "Holiday Closure" tag

    2. Save your changes.

This will create a class on your schedule for the entire day, but no reservations can be made.

Impact on Recurring Series

When canceling classes for a holiday, you can mark them as canceled on the public schedule, but be careful with recurring classes. Editing a recurring series can unintentionally bring back canceled classes.

If you cancel a future class (e.g., New Year’s Eve) and later update the recurring series using Update all future classes, the canceled class will reappear on the schedule with the new settings.

Recommended Workflow to Prevent This

  1. Edit the Class You Want to Cancel

    • Open the specific class

    • Remove the instructor to break it from the series

  2. Save the Class

    • This removes the class from the recurring series

  3. Cancel the Class

    • Now that it's standalone, cancel it as needed

This ensures future updates to the recurring series won’t affect already canceled classes.
