When a customer decides to end their membership before it is set to expire, you can terminate their membership or cancel it.

Terminating a membership ends the membership effective immediately.

Canceling a membership By renewal interval allows customers to use their membership through the end of the membership interval of their choosing.

When a membership is canceled, it can not be undone.

From the customer's profile, select Memberships > ellipsis next to the membership > Cancel Renewals.

You will be prompted to cancel By renewal interval or Immediately, along with providing a Cancellation Reason and adding an optional Note.

The cancellation reason is viewable in the Membership Details report and the upgrades/downgrade count is viewable in the Membership Summary report.

Terminate Membership

If Immediately is chosen, you are terminating the membership, and will end after clicking Cancel Membership. All future reservations are canceled and no reservations can be made with it.

If you need to issue a refund and terminate the membership, go to Purchases > ellipsis next to the membership > Issue Refund > Terminate Membership.

Cancel Membership

To cancel, select By renewal interval. Enter the number of membership renewal fees that the customer would like remaining for their membership. Here are 2 examples:

  1. If the customer would like to stop paying after the interval is done, enter 0 in the field for the remaining renewal payments.

  2. If the customer would like to pay for 2 more months. You’ll enter 2 in the field for the remaining renewal payments.

After entering the number of remaining renewal payments, the new expiration date will be displayed.
