Why can't I merge an account?

Reasons why accounts can't be merged

There are a number of cases when accounts cannot be merged in Mariana Tek.

You cannot:

  1. Merge employee or instructor accounts. It is true that even if an employee is made inactive, you will still not be able to merge the account that was once an employee account.

  2. Merge an account with a “deferred/pending” order (add-on, etc.) into an account without a working credit card on file.

  3. Merging an account with an active membership into an account that does not have a valid and active credit card on file at the payment gateway where the membership will renew/was purchased.

    1. To allow the accounts to merge, the kept account must save a credit card to the payment gateway where the membership was originally purchased.

  4. Merging of two accounts with the same active membership.

    1. One of the memberships can be canceled/terminated to merge accounts.

  5. Merging of two accounts if they both have upcoming reservations in the same class session.

    1. One or both reservations will need to be canceled, or the class needs to have passed to merge accounts.

  6. Merge an External Account created in another database with a Mariana Tek account.

  7. Merge two accounts if there is no home location on both accounts. Both accounts must have a Home location to merge, or you will receive an error.
