New Payroll

Start by setting a payroll cycle. To do this, click on New Payroll (top, right) and select the start and end dates of your payroll cycle.

Pay Rates

The system creates two pay rates: A regular pay rate and an unpaid pay rate. By default, the Unpaid rate applies to all canceled classes. The Regular pay rate applies to all other classes.

Note: If left unchanged, the same Regular pay rate will apply to all instructors and hourly workers. So let’s create worker overrides first.

Worker Overrides

  1. Click on the pencil icon to edit a pay rate

  2. Click on “Add Worker Override”

  3. Select the worker from the drop-down. Then input their pay rate and their pay rate unit. For the pay rate unit, you can choose either Hour or Shift.

Note: You only need to add overrides for workers who get paid a rate that is different from the default rate.

New Pay Rates

  1. Click Duplicate Pay Rate to add a custom pay rate.

  2. Choose a unique name for the pay rate, e.g. Holiday Pay, Cycling Class Pay, Yoga Class Pay, etc.

  3. Set the Carry Over to true if you would like Jebra to automatically carry over the pay rate to future payroll periods.

    1. This is the case, for example, for Shift Rates. Jebra will remember which shifts or timesheets were set to these rates and will automatically carry them over.

    2. On the other hand, we suggest you toggle off Carry Over for Holiday Rates and Sick Rates, which would not typically carry over.

  4. Please check the "Jebra Flex Payroll Documentation" for more details on pay rate configuration via "Payroll Tabs."
