If you wish to change the Credit Package penalty fee type for existing customers, you can do so by managing the settings on the credit package.
For example, if you currently collect “loss of credit” penalties, but want to change your studio’s policy to collect “charge” penalties for all package holders, you can do so by:
Go to the credit package and click Edit Package.
Select the new desired penalty fee from the drop-down.
Check the “Retroactively update for all past sold packages” button
Click on the Save button.
Confirm your selection in the confirmation modal. This job can take up to an hour to complete depending on the number of outstanding credits in your system
You can confirm the changes have been made by checking the "Outstanding Credits Report" or by viewing the credit package details on a specific customer’s account.
If customers were previously sold a credit package with no fees and do NOT have a card on file, once the fee is turned on and they accrue a penalty, they will go into payment failure.
