This guide covers how to set up, sell, and schedule personal training sessions using the Mariana Tek Admin Platform.

Configuring Personal Training

Request a Personal Training Class Tag

You’ll need a dedicated Class Tag for personal training.

  • Contact Support to request this tag if you don’t already have one.

Only Memberships and Credit Types using this tag can be used to book personal training sessions.

Create a Membership or Credit Type

Once you have the Class Tag:

  • Be sure to assign the personal training Class Tag.

  • Attach the appropriate Membership Contract or Credit Package for purchase.

Set Up a Personal Training Classroom and Layout

To offer personal training alongside regular classes:

  • Create a new Classroom specifically for personal training.

  • Create a Layout for that room and set the capacity to 1.

This ensures personal training sessions won’t conflict with other class types.

Create Personal Training Class Types

Set up a Class Type for personal training. If you offer sessions of different lengths:

  • Create separate Class Types for each duration.

  • Include the time in the name (e.g., "Personal Training – 45 min", "Personal Training – 60 min").

Schedule Sessions

Now you can add personal training sessions to your location’s schedule:

  • Use the Personal Training Class Tag.

  • Set the visibility to Private or Public, depending on how you want clients to access the sessions.

Ways to Facilitate Personal Training in Mariana Tek

Now that you have configured your settings, here is a list of ways to facilitate personal training. There are several options, each with benefits, drawbacks, and additional configurations.

Customers call the studio to book and buy sessions.

Item

Description

Great option when:

  • You want your front desk to facilitate schedule and transactions

  • You want to vary pricing by the instructor, and you would prefer not to have instructor-specific credit packages on your Buy Page.

  • You plan to have a lot of personal training sessions and don’t like the way that will appear on your schedule, or you simply don’t like the idea of having a public-facing personal training schedule.

Benefits:

  • You’re able to personalize and directly manage the customer experience.

  • You can prioritize ad-hoc scheduling, instead of specific blocks for Personal Trainer availability

  • You can vary prices by the instructor, without feeling you have too many credit packages present on your Buy Page

Drawbacks:

Customers will need to call the studio to book and buy.

Suggestions:

Many clients like to advertise on their website that customers should call the studio to buy and book.

To do this:

  • Ensure the classes you create on your schedule are marked “Private”.

  • Ensure the credit packages you created are active but don’t add them to your Buy Page.

  • When clients call the studio or come to the front desk, you can sell them your Personal Training Credit Packages through the POS system. You can then use the credits in their account to book them into class.

Customers buy credits online and call the studio to book.
