Events at your studio can refer to a variety of offerings, including workshops, retreats, or celebrations. No matter the event type, here is what needs to be configured to run your event in Mariana Tek.
Class Type
First, create a Class Type for the event. The Class Type determines the event name, description, and duration. The Description is important because it will specify which credit package is required to book, along with all the event details.
If you are running multiple similar events, we recommend creating a unique Class Type for each one. This gives your members the ability to filter on your studio schedule.
Class Layout
It might be necessary to create a new Class Layout if the capacity is greater than your normal classes or if it overlaps with your regular schedule.
If you are frequently running events, consider creating a new classroom.
Credit Type and Package
Next, you will want to create a Credit Type. In the Credit Type, you will want to apply a Class Tag that is not being used on any other class or payment option
This will prevent any other payment options from being used for the event and prevent the event ticket from being used in a regular class.
We recommend selecting your standard booking window, as you should use the Class Override on the actual class event. When you create the event, you can use the Class Overrides to give it a unique window. We strongly recommend using the Class Override Booking Window because the customer's view on your schedule will not be impacted, and the class is reservable regardless of valid payment options.

The Guest Allowance will usually be set to Members Only, but if you want members to be able to buy tickets for a Guest and make them a reservation,n set it to Members and Guests.
Then, create a single usage Credit Package. Consider the one usage as one ticket for the event. In the Description field, include that this credit package can only be used for the event.
Consider turning the Credit Package into a Promotion to limit who can purchase the package, control the timing of when it is visible on the buy page, and limit how many times a member can check out a cart with that product.
Buy Page
Don't forget to add the Credit Package to your Buy Page.
If you run multiple events, try creating a Section just for events. Then, use the product banner and descriptions to specify what the credit packages are for.
Create the Event
Any event is going to be a single class on your schedule. Create the class and make sure the following fields are configured:
Class Type - set to the type that is specific to the event
Class Tag - Reminder: This tag should only be used on events to prevent payment methods from being used in regular classes
Class Overrides Booking Window - Only need to use it if you want to change the window from the Credit Type.
Complete the rest of the fields and save.
Reporting on Events
Here is a list of reports that could help manage events:
Use to track the number of times a credit package has been purchased
Filter by the Credit Type to see who has purchased a ticket but has not made a reservation
Surface all classes where class tags are being used. Use to confirm that a tag isn't being used on another class.
Waivers
For your events, you might need to configure an event-specific waiver. If you are not familiar with waiver creation in Xplor Growth, click here to read more.
