You’re able to set up childcare by utilizing the guest framework.
The setup is simple and mirrors many of the processes you’re likely already familiar with such as adding classes to the schedule, utilizing specific classrooms and layouts, and creating credit packages and membership contracts.
Before you can begin adding childcare to your platform, you’ll need to make sure that you have a “Childcare” class tag and associated payment permission created in your admin site. Simply reach out to support@marianatek.com to have these created for you if they are already not listed on your site.
Adding Childcare Classes to your Schedule
Before you can add a childcare class to your schedule, you must ensure you have a proper Class Type created.
Next, you’ll need to make sure that you have a designated classroom created for your childcare with associated First-Come-First-Serve Layouts defining the capacity levels.
Then, you’ll head over to the Schedule to add these childcare “classes” to your schedule.
If you want the adult to be able to sign their children up before class, you’ll leave the class public and it will appear on your schedule.
If you do not want your childcare classes visible on your schedule, simply deselect “Public” at the top. This would now allow parents/guardians to pre-book their child, rather it would require employees to sign children up upon arrival at the studio.
Continue filling out the fields as necessary ensuring you utilize your childcare Class Type, “Childcare” Class Tag, and the designated classroom and layout.
Once you have the class created on your schedule, you’ll need to create credit packages and/or memberships that can be booked into your childcare classes.
Creating Childcare Credit Packages or Membership Contracts
When creating a credit package or membership contract that is specifically for childcare, you’ll need to create a specific credit type or membership type for the package or contract, indicating that it can be used only for guests (the child(ren)).
You will ensure the Locations and Class Type permissions indicate that the credit/membership type can book into any classes tagged “Childcare”.
Equally as important, you’ll ensure that “Guest Only” is selected under Guest Allowances. This prevents the buyer (parent/guardian) from ever accidentally booking themself into a childcare class, which would impact their total class count.
