Time blocks let you temporarily block off periods when appointments can’t be booked. They provide flexibility around instructor or room availability without changing their regular schedule. For example, if a room is normally available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. but needs to be closed for a few hours, you can create a time block to prevent bookings during that window.
Permissions
Permissions can be configured on user roles to manage and create time blocks in Admin and the Biz App.
Permission | Description | User Role |
Can_manage_general_availability | Time Blocks: Create, edit, delete, and view all time blocks | Admin, Studio Owner, Studio Manager |
Can_manage_own_availability | Time Blocks: Create, delete, and view own time blocks only | Instructor (self-service) |
Create Time Block
Admin
Go to Schedule > Appointments > Add Event > Time Block
Biz App
Go to Schedule > + icon > Time Block.
Insert the room or instructor and start/end times. Click Add Time Block to place the block on your schedule.
Timeblocks can't be edited, only deleted and recreated.
Scheduling Conflict
If an appointment is scheduled during the conflict, a warning prompt will appear with the option to go Back or Add Appointment Anyway.
