In Mariana Tek, you can enable cash-backed account balances and complimentary balances by location. These features ensure that specific account balances are only given and used at their designated locations.

Enabling Cash-Backed Account Balance by Location
When cash-backed account balance by location is enabled, you'll see cash-backed account balance (from a gift card or a refund) broken down by location.
If only this feature is enabled, complimentary balance will be lumped together and only cash-backed account balance will be broken down by location.
For example, instead of a total of $150 in the account balance, you can see it broken down into $50 for a complimentary account balance and $100 redeemed from a cash-backed gift card, purchased at the West Hollywood location.
$50 can be used at all USD locations.
$100 can only be used in West Hollywood.
When you click "Modify Account Balance," you'll only be able to adjust the complimentary account balance (for all USD locations).
You cannot modify the cash-backed account balance.
If a cash-backed account balance attributed to a different location is added to the account, you'll see a separate row.
For example, if a customer receives a refund of $27.31 to their account for a purchase made in Santa Monica, you'll see a new row.
$27. 31 can only be used in Santa Monica.
Enabling Complimentary Balance by Location
When the complimentary account balance by location is enabled, you'll see the complimentary account balance broken down by location.
If only this feature is enabled, the cash-backed account balances will be lumped together and only the complimentary account balance is broken down by location. In the examples below, cash-backed account balance by location is also enabled (so both complimentary and cash-backed balances are broken down by their locations).
To add a complimentary account balance tied to a specific location, select "Add Account Balance."
For example, you can add $30 to a customer's account that can only be used at Capitol Hill.
When complimentary balance by location is enabled, you'll see "Modify" next to your complimentary amount and "Add Account Balance" where it previously was "Modify Account Balance."
When you click "Modify," you can only adjust the complimentary balance at the given location.
For example, modifying the complimentary account balance at All USD Locations will only adjust the complimentary balance for All USD Locations.
Modifying the complimentary account balance for Capitol Hill will only adjust the balance that can be used at Capitol Hill.
If a customer wants to use an account balance and has balances in multiple locations (i.e. All Locations Only and Dupont Circle), the oldest account balance will be used up first.
Checkout Flow in Admin
When checking a customer out, you'll only see the account balance amount that can be used at the designated checkout location.
For example, when checking Timmy out in Santa Monica, the available account balance that can be used in Santa Monica is reflected on the payment page.
A total of $99.31 in account balance can be used for the purchase: $27.31, which can only be used in Santa Monica, and $27.00, which can be used at all USD locations (including Santa Monica).
