Mariana Tek x Xplor Growth Conditions

Learn how each Mariana Tek condition works in Xplor Growth auto-campaigns and segments, including visits, memberships, credit packages, purchases, and future reservations.

Written by Luna

Each condition has a set of defaults or a base state.

Dropdowns in each condition are multi-select, so selections act as an OR clause.

In the example below, the condition looks for clients who purchased Unlimited Month, 10 Premium Credits, or 3 Premium Credits under ‘Which Type of Purchase.’ A client does not need to have purchased all three to meet the condition.

When you combine multiple conditions, the statement becomes an AND clause.

In the example below, the condition looks for clients who had their first visit in the last 30 days AND have a Membership, specifically an Unlimited Month, Yearly Membership, or Monthly Premium membership.

Conditions filter in two different ways: to the tenant level (all locations in your brand) or to the account level (location(s) connected to your XG account).

If you have multiple locations and use an HQ/Child account setup, the most common configuration is to connect one location to each child account. Conditions that filter to the account level will only filter to the location connected to the child account.

Single-location businesses and multi-location businesses with all locations in a single Xplor Growth will see no difference between conditions that filter to the tenant level or account level, since it’s entirely a 1:1 or Many:1 relationship.

Home Location

A contact’s Home Location in Mariana Tek on the Personal Information page. This condition looks at the location(s) connected to the account you are working in.

Milestone Visits

A visit is defined by an actual check-in! Milestone visits are the total check-ins across all locations in the MT tenant, all time!

Use cases:

  • Creating an auto campaign to reach out to clients when they hit milestones such as 100 visits!

  • Create a segment of those with fewer than 1 all-time visit (i.e., have never been in the studio before) to target with an offer!

By default, the system calculates a contact’s all-time visits to the brand. With the default selection, a contact enrolls in a segment or auto campaign in the account connected to their home location.

To count visits only at a specific location, select from Specific Location and pick from the drop-down.

Number of Visits

The number of visits lets you be more specific about when, what, how, and with whom the visit occurred, versus milestone visits.

You can specify the visit status: late cancel, no show, check-in, absent, etc.

You can also track these behaviors over a time frame and filter by instructor, credit used, membership used, and class time.

Use case:

  • Creating an automation to upsell someone once they sign in three times using a class pass within the last month.

  • Create an automation for clients who no-show their first-ever visit.

The default location selection is that the visit(s) occurred at any location connected to this XG account.

The All Time time frame for the Number of Visits condition uses a rolling two-year lookback window for Mariana Tek integrations. It does not use a member's lifetime visit history. Review more information here.

Last Visit

Last Visit lets you target a client based on a check-in or an interaction (check-in or purchase).

This is a very commonly used condition, and is used in several contexts:

  • In auto campaigns, it lets you capture a client when they go a specific amount of time without visiting. For example, an entry rule could be that the last visit was exactly 30 days ago, capturing someone when they hit the milestone of not visiting for a month.

  • In segments, this lets you create a one-off list of clients who haven't been in a certain amount of time to retarget. For example, if you're running a sale and want to target clients who haven't been in the last 6 months, you can use the condition "Last visit is at least 180 days ago."

Has a Membership

Has a membership lets you segment based on active members, or those who don't have memberships.

You can also drill down to membership status to target those who are currently suspended or have terminated their memberships. You can also specify the membership start date.

Use cases:

  • Creating a campaign to welcome new members! You can indicate the start date was within the last 1 day!

The default purchase location is a location connected to this XG account where the contact exists.

The "Does not have a membership" condition only omits those contacts who had that specific membership in the past but do not currently have it.

Has an Active Credit Package

Has an Active Credit Package targets any customer with a credit package that has not yet reached its expiration date. This condition tracks credits based on completed check-ins, not reservations.

For example, if a customer buys a 5-pack on Monday and reserves 4 classes right away, Mariana Tek still considers all 5 visits available until the customer actually checks in.

Even if a package shows in the “Expired” tab of a customer profile (because all credits have been used), the system still treats it as active until the expiration date passes.

How to use it

  • In an automation: Retarget customers who are running low on credits.

    • For example, set Visits Remaining = 1 without filtering on package type to reach anyone with just one credit left, or apply a specific package filter to narrow your audience.

  • In a segment: Create a list of customers with exactly one visit remaining. Then send them a one-off promotion to encourage them to purchase another package.

Finished a Credit Package

Contacts who have exhausted all visits on a credit package.

We collect all the Mariana Tek users within the XG account that have a credit pack that has been fully consumed, with 0 visits remaining.

The credit package had to have been purchased at a location connected to that XG account.

We check only the latest reservation status: check-in, penalty no-show, or penalty cancel.

In Mariana Tek, credit packages with 0 visits remaining are considered expired packages even if the time to use them has not run out, so the packages being considered are all expired packages.

Starts a Credit Package

The package “start” is the same day as the purchase.

This differs from the purchase condition because the contact who purchases the credit package might not be the person who uses it.

You can filter by date to specify when the credit package started and which specific credit package it is.

Has a Mariana Tek User Tag

Contacts who are tagged in Mariana Tek.

This condition has no timeframe. When used as an enrollment rule, only contacts who are tagged in the future will be pulled into campaigns.

The contact’s home location is a location connected to that XG account.

Membership Cancelled

The condition returns all contacts in an XG account that have a corresponding user in Mariana Tek with a membership instance that has a cancellation date, either in the past or scheduled for the future.

This condition verifies that the contact’s home location is a location connected to the XG account.

In Mariana Tek, you can “request to cancel,” which assigns a future cancellation date to the membership. The condition 'Membership Canceled' finds anyone with a cancellation date, and you can use the time filter to distinguish if their cancellation happened already or it's coming up. Use status to find customers whose memberships are currently canceled or terminated vs. those whose memberships are active but have a pending cancellation date.

In its base/default state, this condition includes any membership with a cancellation date. (i.e., a membership that has a future cancellation date can currently have an active status)

To capture only memberships with a canceled status, use the status drop-down to specify.

First Visit

All contacts who have had their very first visit.

The condition checks contacts in the account and returns contacts who had their first visit in the given time frame, and whose first visit with the brand happened at a location connected to that XG account.

Because a contact can only have one first visit ever, they would only be pulled into lists using First Visit in one XG account: the account connected to the location where the first visit occurred.

Membership Expiration

All contacts with a membership instance marked as expired at any location in the Mariana Tek tenant.

This includes only contacts who previously had a membership instance that is now marked as expired and does not consider whether a contact has another active membership.

New Mariana Tek Profile

The new Mariana Tek profile condition lets you target people who have created profiles in Mariana Tek. This condition is extremely useful in auto campaigns to convert folks who have created profiles in MT, but have not yet purchased an intro offer.

It's also useful in segments to isolate people who have created profiles during a specific time range.

We won’t receive this data for guests until they are converted into the MT system and have a valid email.

Future Reservation

Find customers marked pending for a future class.

A contacts timeline will display pending reservations for the date that the class will take place, not the date they made the reservation.

You can filter by credit, membership, class name, instructor, etc., to isolate the specific reservation.

This can be useful in an auto campaign to target clients who have an upcoming reservation. Paired with an entry rule with a milestone of fewer than 1 visit, you can isolate the client's first-ever upcoming reservation.

You can specify a time frame, and since 30 days is the farthest Xplor Growth can look out, using "within the next 30 days" is synonymous with "as soon as they make a reservation" (for enrolling a client upon reservation).

Made a Purchase

The Made a Purchase condition lets you create a campaign or segment based on clients who have or have not made any purchase, or a specific purchase.

This condition lets you filter by purchase date, purchase type, and purchase location.

Within a segment, this is a great condition to pull a list of clients who have never made a purchase, so you can target them with an offer!

You have numerous options for using this condition in an auto campaign!

  • You can enroll a client based on a specific purchase, and in conjunction with future reservations as a goal, target clients who have purchased an intro offer but have not yet reserved their first class

  • You can also use this condition as a goal, for example, a new profile in Mariana Tek, to target clients who create profiles in MT but have not yet purchased your intro offer.

This condition recognizes completed purchases and partially refunded purchases in MT. However, it does not recognize a pending purchase.
