Mariana Tek allows users to substitute an instructor for a class when the usual instructor can't make it. While this can be done by changing the instructor for a class, the substitute function makes it easy to reference the original teacher.

Making a substitution for class

To cancel or delete a class, access the class through the:

  • Schedule in the left side menu > select the class > Edit Class

  • Or through the class roster > ellipses > Edit Class

Select Add Substitute > search and select the instructor's name > Update Class.

Once you assign a substitute instructor:

  • (Sub) appears next to their name on the Admin schedule only, not on the public calendar.

  • The substitute’s photo and bio will appear on the public-facing schedule, replacing the original instructor’s info.

Class participants are not emailed notifying them of the substitution. You can, however, manually message the class.

If you are utilizing NetGym, the (Sub) indicator will appear next to the instructor's name.
