To discount penalty fees, you must set up an automatic discount. You are unable to discount penalty fees utilizing a discount code.
In the Discount, select your Product to include Late Cancel Charge and/or No Show Charge.
Free Late Cancel per Month
It is common for studios to offer one free Late Cancel per month for specific memberships. While this is possible, it does require a new discount to be created every month because you have to add the date to the discount that coincides with the month of the membership.
The discount would be configured as:
Name: February 2025 Membership Free Late Cancel
Discount Type: Automatic
Discount Value: This must be set to Fixed Amount
Product: Late Cancel Charge
Locations: Select all that apply
User Segments: Membership Holders - select which memberships apply
Discount orders per customer: 1
This guarantees it will be one per month
Start and End Date: The date range must match the dates of the month
