The guide below will guide you on setting up Google Analytics for the first time on your Mariana Tek iOS Consumer App.
Our support team can't provide direct assistance or guidance with GA4 setup. For an effective implementation, we recommend consulting a marketing expert.
Create a Firebase project.
Follow the steps from the 'How to create a Firebase project' section until downloading GoogleService-Info.plist file.
Send this file to the Mariana Tek Team after the setup is done.
Import GTM Setup for Mobile Apps (iOS)
Create a new Container
When logged in to your GTM account:
Click to create a new container from your tag manager home page.
Create the new container for mobile (iOS).
Name your Container MT iOS or a name that would be easy to identify.
Choose Firebase (iOS).
Import the GTM Setup File for iOS.
You will be on the workspace tab once the container is created in the above steps.
Go to the admin tab in the top nav and select import container.
Select “choose container file” and import the appropriate file that we have provided to you.
Select the existing workspace, then the Default workspace.
You should see tags, triggers, and variables at the bottom. Confirm at least one new tag, one new trigger, and at least one new variable.
There will be more than one, but you should see at least one to know the import was successful.
Next, click confirm at the bottom of the screen. You will be brought back to your workspace and should see the added items listed in the workspace changes.
Publish your Container.
From your workspace, there should be a button that says “Submit” in the top right corner.
Click Submit. For the Version name, you can add today’s date. You can leave the description blank or add anything you would like.
Click Publish in the top right corner, and you should be brought back to your homepage, which shows your container is live.
Download the Container and send it back to Mariana Tek.
From your workspace, click on “Versions” in the top navigation.
Next to the version you just created, click on the menu and select download.
Once you have downloaded the container file, email that along with the GoogleService-Info file to the Mariana Tek Team, and we'll provide you with more information on the timing for these changes to your Mariana Tek iOS Consumer App to be implemented.
This change will require an app update release for your app.
