When customers see that others are actively booking a class, it creates a sense of confidence and demand. Social proof signals highlight recent booking activity, helping encourage customers to reserve their spot.
We're testing this schedule update, which highlights popular classes and activities, to see if it helps members book more often. If the test performs well, we'll make it available to everyone. During the test, only a portion of customers will see the social proof signals.
This is one of many tests we'll run to help us learn what works best and continue improving the scheduling experience.
On the schedule, the cue "X people just booked" appears on the class cards in both the mobile and web schedules when:
10 or more bookings have occurred in the last 24 hours (rolling window)
1 or more remaining spots are available
Mobile users must be on iOS version 3.64.0+ or Android 1.49.0+ to see the social proof signals.
Future Iteration
Once testing concludes, we'll analyze the results and determine whether the experience should be expanded, adjusted, or retired based on performance.
If released, studios will be able to customize the minimum number of bookings in the last 24 hours required for the social proof signal to appear.
