Google Play may email you to say an update to your Android app was rejected for one or both of these reasons:
Missing Data disclosure
Your privacy policy does not disclose the access or collection of Health Data. Ensure your policy explains how you access, collect, and use this data.
Data retention policy not specified
Your app's privacy policy does not disclose its data retention practices. State your data retention practices in your policy, or explicitly state in your policy that you do not store or retain user data.
What this means
Google has requested additional privacy disclosures before it will approve further updates to your Android app. The requested disclosures relate to Workout Metrics, an optional feature that allows members who connect a compatible health platform to view heart rate and calories burned for classes they have taken.
Your current app in the Google Play Store is unaffected and will keep working for your members, but it won’t receive new updates until you update your privacy policy.
You still need the disclosure even if you don't plan to use Workout Metrics. Google reviews all app functionality, including optional features.
What you need to do
Update your privacy policy to cover health data.
We have included the suggested language below. We encourage you to incorporate the suggested language and add a clearly labeled Health and Fitness Data section to your existing privacy policy.
Confirm that your privacy policy expressly covers the mobile app.
If it currently only mentions your website, add this sentence near the top: “This Privacy Policy applies to our website and our mobile app.”
Keep your privacy policy at the same web address.
Update your existing privacy policy page rather than creating a new one.
Once you update your policy, your Android app will start receiving updates again with our next release.

Health and Fitness Data
If you choose to enable Workout Metrics and grant permission through Health Connect on Android or Apple Health on iOS, our app accesses health and fitness data, such as heart rate and calories burned, solely to display workout metrics for your classes.
This data is accessed and processed on your device. It is not transmitted to, stored, or retained by our app provider or us. We do not sell this data, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising. The uses and restrictions described in this section apply specifically to health and fitness data accessed through this feature.
You can revoke the app’s access at any time through the permissions settings in Health Connect or Apple Health.
Our use of information received from Health Connect complies with Google’s applicable Health Connect permissions policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
