Memberships can be in many different states, which are detailed below:
Pending Customer Activation: Given when membership hasn't been activated. Their membership will be activated upon first use.
Pending Start Date: Membership hasn’t reached its specified start date.
Active: Membership has been activated, is up to date on payments, and is not in the last pay period. Has the ability to make reservations up until the membership end date.
Expiring: Membership that is in the last payment period. An Expiring Membership can be used to book reservations up to the membership end date. Once a membership ends, it can no longer be used to make reservations.
Expired: Membership that has reached its course and no longer active. Expired memberships cannot be used to book reservations.
Canceled: Membership was modified to have fewer renewals than it was originally sold with. The canceled membership will indicate the date it was canceled along with its end date.
Terminated: Membership was ended immediately by an employee. The membership will note the date the membership was terminated.
Frozen: Membership that has had payments and booking ability suspended. Frozen Memberships cannot be used to book reservations during the "freeze period", but they can be used to book reservations if the class date is after the end of the freeze.
Charge Declined - Payment: Membership has an invalid credit card on file, has missed a payment, and is past the grace period set on the membership. This can happen if a credit card expires, a billing zip code changes, or if a charge was declined for any other reason. When a membership is in Charge Declined - Payment, it is not usable to book reservations until the credit card is updated and the renewal fee(s) are successfully processed.
Charge Declined - Penalty: Membership has an invalid credit card on file, has missed a penalty fee (no show or late cancel), and is past the grace period set on the membership. This can happen if a credit card expires, a billing zip code changes, or if a charge was declined for any other reason. When a membership is charged declined, it is not usable to book reservations until the credit card is updated and the penalty fees are successfully processed.
