To create a First-Timer discount, navigate to Products > Discounts > New Discount.
Configure the discount you want your first-timers to receive. Navigate to User Segment > select First Timer.
First Timer Eligibility
A first-timer is defined as a customer with no reservation history, including early cancellations, late cancellations, and grace cancellations.
First-timer discounts are only available to customers who have never held a reservation in your studio’s system.
Guest reservations
If a customer’s first visit was as someone’s guest and that guest's reservation was later converted into their own account, it becomes part of their reservation history.
Because of this, they will not qualify for a first-timer discount.
Third-Party Reservations
If a customer’s first visit was booked through a third-party platform such as ClassPass or Wellhub, and that reservation was converted into their Mariana Tek account, those visits are also part of their reservation history. As a result, they will not be eligible for a first-timer discount.
Examples
If you want First Timers, or customers with no reservation history, including pending reservations, to be able to get their first single credit free:
Navigate to Discount Value > select Fixed Amount > enter the value of your Single Credit. (This will be the total dollar amount off the cart, should the customer put more than one credit in their cart.)
Navigate to Products > Select Type.
Navigate to Credits > select Select Products > search for and select your Single Credit.
Navigate to User Segment > First Timer.
Navigate to Discounted Orders Per Customer > select the box and type in 1 for Order(s). This will limit them to 1 transaction.
Ensure you’ve entered your desired values for Name, Start and End Date, Discount Type, and, if relevant, Discount Code.
Select Save Discount.
If you want First Timers, or customers with no reservation history, including pending reservations, to be able to buy as many Single Credits as they would like at a 10% discount during their first purchase:
Navigate to Discount Value > select Percentage > enter 10%
Navigate to Products > select Select Type.
Navigate to Credits > select Select Products > search for and select your Single Credit.
Navigate to User Segment > First Timer.
Under Discounted Orders Per Customer, select 1 order.
