This report presents a summary of realized revenue for each product type at each location. This report is in UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).

This report is useful for:

  • Viewing the revenue by product type and location.

Realized Revenue

Realized revenue is pre-taxed. The report will account for all product types except for products with deferred revenue:

  • credits with deferred revenue

  • gift cards,

  • account balances

The total amount of realized revenue will match the total sale data in Sales reports if both are filtered to immediate revenue types (e.g., clothing, accessories, food & beverage, rentals). The Sales reports will need to be in UTC

The Realized Revenue report will only match the Orders report if the amounts in the Orders report are:

  • pre-tax

  • UTC

  • Do not include any purchases using a complimentary account balance.

The reports will not match if you include products with associated deferred revenue (e.g., credit packages and cash gift cards).

Gift Cards

When gift cards with monetary value are purchased and redeemed, the account balance (deferred revenue) will show up in this report as unrealized revenue for the product type purchased upon a successful transaction.

Cash Gift Cards

  • If restricted to a specific location, revenue is realized at the purchase location (e.g., bought at Studio A β†’ realized at Studio A).

  • If usable at any location, revenue is realized where it’s redeemed (e.g., bought at Studio A, used at Studio B β†’ realized at Studio B).

Credit Package Gift Cards

When gift cards for credits are purchased and redeemed, the credits (deferred revenue) will show up in this report as unrealized revenue for credits when:

Memberships

When a membership is purchased, its value is recognized (realized) immediately at the location where it was purchased.
