Can customers schedule their own Appointment?

Consumer booking for appointments makes it easy for clients to discover and book private sessions.

Written by Jason Wiese

Consumer booking for appointments makes it easy for clients to discover and book private sessions directly through your branded apps (available on iOS 3.60.0+ and Android 1.46.0+) and web experience, no back-and-forth with staff required.

By removing scheduling friction, you can capture more demand, reduce manual booking work, and create a smoother, more convenient experience for both your team and your clients.

Configuration

Consumer booking is enabled on a service-by-service basis. Navigate to an existing service or create a new one, and on the Customers tab, toggle Allow Customer Booking to Yes.

If the toggle isn't available, contact support to enable.

Once the service is saved, appointments will be available on your schedule.

Available appointment time slots are automatically generated based on your setup. The following features impact what slots are available:

Customer View

Customers can view available appointment timeslots on your web experience and mobile tab. On the Schedule page, select Private Training.

Private Training is the default appointment header, but can be customized by contacting support. Appointments are limited to one tab on the schedule.

Available time slots will be grouped by service type and instructor.

Previously booked

When booking an appointment, customers will see their most recently booked instructor (within the last 30 days) surfaced at the top. If multiple instructors were booked within the past 30 days, both will be moved to the top, with the most recent first, and labeled as previously booked.

Filters

Appointment schedule filters include:

  • Location

  • Type: Services

  • Instructor

Customers can book an appointment the same way as a class, including single-step booking and buying. At this time, appointments can only be booked with credit packages.

Future Enhancements

Here is a list of planned future enhancements to improve the consumer booking experience:

  • Self-service cancellations

  • Appointment booking with memberships

  • Improved time slot flexibility and configurability

    • Currently, time slots are shown at fixed intervals based on service duration. Customers may not see all theoretically available start times.

  • Guest/multi-client booking
